These are faces I meet on the street here: people I stop, have a chat with, explain myself to. I listen to their stories, catch something in the gaze, a look, a smile.
Then I hand them a card and ask to photograph them. What stays with me is the range of faces a place holds, seen by someone who did not grow up among them.
